The first recent aquisition of Ephraim Island in 1988 was the beginning of its transformation but the planning that evolved took fifteen years to commence.  After a number of initial concepts came the introduction of Mirvac as a Development partner and the decision to proceed as a Luxury Residential Resort.  The mix of public access, security, facilities, commercial conveniences, recreation areas, parking and upkeep costs were carefully considered and constantly reviewed.  Marketing surveys were conducted, the range of product and pricing carefully evaluated to ensure there was to be an increasing demand for each style.  Finally the Masterplan was made public and it was greeted with an overwhelming vote of confidence! The sales release made Gold Coast history as the speed of sale and prices achieved shocked even the experts.  Those that witnessed the remarkable transformation from uninhibited island to luxury Island Resort realise that Ephraim Island is indeed a very special place to live!
